The Adventures of Noggin Clontith was an animated film based on Noggin Clontith, a walking talking gnome. This gnome had been turned into a meme in September 2018 (with origins from 2016) after a video of him saying "I'm gnot a gnelf, and I'm gnot a gnogglin! I'm a gnome, and you've just been gnomed!" was shared onto YouTube back in 2010. The video is very popular and is (possibly) the only reason people know this gnome exists. However, what is not known to the public eye is that there was a film that starred Noggin Clontith.

Background

Noggin Clontith was created sometime in the early 2000s by Angela Winstanley. She had an entire website dedicated to the gnome. The site (which is still up) would greet you with Noggin saying:

"Oh, hello chum! I'm Noggin the gnome! Welcome to my website! Here you can find storage, songs and [inaudible] with animation! And you can send them to your chummers, have yourself and a chum in a picture with me! Come on, NOGGIN with NOGGIN!"

The site also has a page about the creators of the character, games, and the ability to "send a Noggin", presumably something like the "You've been gnomed!" video.[1] However, there is one page that is not accessible, that being the shop page. However, one page that is linked to the Shop one is the page to buy Noggin's film, "The Adventures of Noggin Clontith - Volume 1".

The cover does not reveal anything about the plot of the film, but does reveal how Noggin came to be. There is also a few quotes from the character's creators, posing as critics' quotes. Clicking the "Buy" button just links to Winstanley's PayPal account.[2] Trying to buy this DVD presumably would not work, as Angela Winstanley seems to be inactive in most places, her last post on social media being on Twitter on March 16th, 2019 (her YouTube account having been dead for years). Looking through her tweets, it also seems that she has abandoned Noggin Clontith.[3]

Availability

No identifiable stills or footage of The Adventures of Noggin Clontith - Volume 1 have surfaced since 2008 (the copyright year on the DVD cover). However, Winstanley's portfolio website[4] depicts two screenshots of unidentifiable origin, and it's unknown if they're from Vol. 1 or 2. Due to the fact that Angela Winstanley seems to have abandoned Noggin Clontith, it's possible she may not even have any copies of the DVD anymore.

Strangely enough, the sequel to this film, Volume 2, has a couple clips existing on Winstanley's YouTube channel.[5]
