As of 2020, very little about this episode has been released on the Internet, with the exception of a single storyboard on Jean Texier's website (alongside storyboards for the rest of the episode), which shows Tina Rex and her father attacking the titular character, Gumball, and a shot of a ravaged city. While the episode was never finished, elements of the story may have been reworked into the season 4 episode "The Routine".


In 2012, a list of episodes relating to the second season of The Amazing World Of Gumball was leaked online, among them was an episode named "The Rex" which later got scrapped due to financial reasons and the fact that the creators of the show thought that the episode was a complete waste of money.
According to series creator Ben Bocquelet via Twitter, it was "Too expensive and not worth the price."


Very little about the plot, if anything has been released on the internet except for a signal storyboard that's viewable on this page that shows dinosaurs attacking the titular character, Gumball and a ravaged city. Apparently, this episode will premiere as a less pricey version in the third season of Gumball, but the possibility of this being true is very low.


The storyboard for this episode could be found on Jean Texier's website, but it has since been deleted.

The Rex is an unreleased, 2012 episode of the Amazing World of Gumball. Its existence first came to light in 2012, when a complete list of episodes from season-two of the series was leaked online. Included in this list was The Rex.

As of 2020, very little about this episode has been released on the Internet, with the exception of a single storyboard on Jean Texier's website (alongside storyboards for the rest of the episode), which shows Tina Rex and her father attacking the titular character, Gumball, and a shot of a ravaged city.
