The Property of a Lady is a canceled early 1990's James Bond film following License to Kill (1989).[1] The film was to star Timothy Dalton in his third feature to complete his three-film contract, possibly alongside Elizabeth Hurley, Cathrine Zeta Jones or Lucy Liu and Anthony Hopkins as the villain.[2] The film was ultimately reworked into Goldeneye due to legal issues, which starred Pierce Brosnan (the fifth official Bond actor) following Dalton quitting.

The film originally followed Bond as he investigated a prolific businessman in Hong Kong in an effort to terrorist activity and prevent World War III. Some elements from The Property of a Lady survived and were reused in the film. For example, the opening scene of Goldeneye, outside a nuclear facility, was taken from the original version of the film. However, many other elements of the film have since been lost.
