The Substitute is a TV movie that was produced for the USA network in 1993. It should not be confused with the 1996 film starring Tom Berenger.
The Substitute is the film debut of Mark Wahlberg, who at the time was still known as pop-rapper "Marky Mark". The film is about a high school English teacher who goes on a killing spree after her husband cheats on her.
This TV movie has never been released on home video in the United States, though it had been released on VHS (albeit in dubbed and/or subtitled versions) in Argentina (as La sustituta), Germany (as Exitus) and Japan.
