When the original Transformers cartoon aired in Japan as 戦え! 超ロボット生命体 トランスフォーマー (Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers), consisting of the first two seasons, 9 additional episodes were created - composed mostly of re-used footage, making them "clip shows". The titles of these episodes were:

  • "Birth of the Transformers!"
  • "War Without End"
  • "Desperate Battle on Dinobot Island"
  • "Devastator, the Giant Warrior"
  • "Neverending Struggle"
  • "Earth's Greatest Crisis"
  • "Seek the Cybertonium"
  • "Stunticons vs Aerialbots"
  • "Mutiny of the Combaticons"

Additionally, when the third season aired in Japan as 戦え!超ロボット生命体 トランスフォーマー 2010 (Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers 2010), two more "clip show" episodes were created. The title of these two clip shows are:

  • "Daniel's Adventure"
  • "The Desperate Struggle of Justice"

The show was released in Japan on DVD, including the two episodes that weren't dubbed during the original broadcast. However, the clip show episodes are not present in the DVD release, the VHS release or the Laserdisc release. As such, the content of this clip shows remains a mystery, and they probably will never see the light of day.
