The Warped Forest (Asatte no Mori, あさっての森) is a 2011 art film directed by Shunichiro Miki. It is a spiritual sequel to the 2005 Funky Forest (Naisu no Mori, ナイスの森), which Miki directed alongside Katsuhito Ishii and Hajime Ishimine. (Neither were involved in the making of The Warped Forest.) Much like its predecessor, The Warped Forest appears to be a collection of strange stories and scenes centered around human interactions with otherworldly objects and characters.

The film was screened at various arthouse film festivals, including a handful of international releases with English subtitles. These include screenings at Fantastic Fest 2012 in Austin[1] and at the NYC Japan Society in 2013[2].

Despite widespread international screenings, the film has never been released on DVD in any country, including Japan. There is currently no way to watch The Warped Forest. It is unknown why the movie has never been commercially released.
