Status: Partially Lost

The Wiggles Big Show is a 1998 concert film of the Australian children's group The Wiggles performing at the Melbourne Sports and Entertainment Centre, presumably running around 45 minutes.

Unlike how many of the Wiggles' other filmed concerts being released as videos, this one was instead shown on the Australian incarnation of the Disney Channel in 1998 along with their Disneyland concert special.

History

The exact filming date of the performance is unknown, although it most likely happened around November-December 1997 judging from the set design and clothing. The first released selections from the filmed concert was as a bonus on the 1998 Wiggle Time video, with more songs appearing throughout their first TV series for the Seven Network.

When Wiggles fans tried to categorise the specific concert performance, Wigglepedia used "Wigglemania Live in Concert" for that performance and the surrounding appearances from the same tour.

It wasn't until January 2020 when a new splash of infomation came through after the original Disney Channel promo for the aforementioned Disneyland special was uploaded onto YouTube. While confirming the pre-existing special's name (regularly known in fan circles under its on-screen title, "Live At Disneyland Park") as "The Wiggles In Disneyland", it also confirmed a showing of the late 1997 Melbourne concert which selections from had previously aired the day after the special aired. The promo also showed previously-unseen footage of the concert, providing some more hints on what the concert's setlist would've originally been.

Avaibility

As the Disney Channel airing was a one-time showing through cable provider Optus Vision, it might be impossible to locate someone who recorded the screening for a specific reason.

Wiggle Time was reissued with its companion video, Yummy Yummy as a DVD in 2002 in Australia, with Wiggle Time later being released by itself on DVD in the US in 2004. TV Series 1 was released in 2005 domestically, but however the performance of Raffi's "Baby Baluga" was excluded due to licensing issues.

In 2005, a few episodes of the Wiggles' first TV series were relased as VideoNow Jr. titles in the US. A 3-pack release containing the "Wiggly Opera" episode is notable for having 3 bonus Let's Wiggle segments at the end, one being a performance of Get Ready To Wiggle that wasn't featured in TV Series 1.
