Tord Åke Larsson was a Norwegian YouTuber who was most known for his work on the animated series, Eddsworld. He was also a friend of the creator, Edd Gould. Tord was originally planned to be the artist behind the eddsworld comics for the series from 2004, all the way until 2008. He briefly returned in 2010 for one eddsworld episode to say one line. On March 25th, 2012, Edd died from cancer, effectively ending Eddsworld, and Tord's work on it.

Video Contents

5 days later after Edd's death, Tord uploaded a video. In this video, he first responded to Edd's death, paying his respects to him. Then, he explained why he had left Eddsworld, reasoning that he had been harassed and stalked by fans of the series, causing him to quit and go into hiding.

Disappearance

Later, Larsson deleted his account in an attempt at hiding again, making the video unavailable. Though the YouTube link has been archived on web.archive.org, the video itself has been lost. The only piece of footage that is known to have survived is from the tribute video “Your Eulogy.”

Aftermath

After the tribute video was made, shown at Edd's funeral and uploaded to YouTube, Tom Ridgewell (aka TomSka), one of the co-creators and voice actors in the series, had uploaded a video explaining Eddsworld related stuff. In it, he also had mentioned Tord, stating that Tord leaving opened a "Pandora's box" of crazed fans that relentlessly pestered him to the point that he went to the extent of not using his real name on the internet. On the 26th August 2014, a possible fan of Tord asked if Matthew Hargreaves, one of the writers of Eddsworld, was still in contact with Tord. Matthew responded with "I would like to, but it's been a long time" The last time Tord had been mentioned Eddsworld-wise was in the credits for "The End" part 2.
