VeggieTales is a popular Christian children's series made by BigIdea in 1993. It has released 50 episodes, and has sold over 7 million videos.

Alternate Endings

Daniel Patrick O'Brien was a lighting supervisor at BigIdea starting sometime in the late 1990s,[1] and was fired sometime in 2002-2003 due to BigIdea's bankruptcy.[2]

On January 15, 2016, Daniel O'Brien held a Q&A on his Twitter account and received multiple questions. One of the questions was if there were any X-rated VeggieTales media that never saw the light of day, in which he replied:

"No, but the animators used to do joke alternate endings to shots where the characters would die."[3]

The only "proof" of these were on Daniel O'Brien's Twitter page, and no video footage of these endings have surfaced, leaving the mystery of whether or not these scenes exist unconfirmed. Even if these scenes did exist, they most likely would've been destroyed.

Debunking

On January 19, 2019, Daniel O'Brien replied to someone saying they doubted the endings were real by posting:

"Curses! This clever person has foiled my plan to con everyone into thinking that (checks notes) some people made some jokes."[4]

This proves that the alternate endings don't actually exist and O'Brien was joking.
