Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego (sometimes simply referred to as World) was a 1988 game created for Prodigy, an online service similar to AOL that was in operation from 1984 to 2001. The Carmen Sandiego game updated weekly during its initial launch. It was adapted from the 1985 Broderbund title, which shared its name. The only known remaining footage is from printed advertisements of the time. There is rumor that further screenshots can be found on older computer models that formerly ran Prodigy, cached under STAGE.DAT.
Gameplay
Players would investigate thefts and be given clues that would help lead them to the culprit.
