Regina Spektor is an indie alternative (“Anti-Folk”) singer-songwriter and pianist born in Moscow, Russia, and later had to emigrate to several other countries until settling in the Bronx, New York from the Soviet Union in 1989 during the “Perestrokia” period.

Today, she has released seven full length albums (most notably Soviet Kitsch and Begin To Hope), and has sold thousands of CDs, DVDs, and vinyl records. She was nominated for a Grammy in 2014 for her theme song “You’ve Got Time” in the hit Netflix show “Orange Is The New Black”, and is greatly compared to the likings of Björk and Joni Mitchell.

On April 5th, 2005, Regina recorded 4 tracks for "The White Sessions” in Boston, Massachusetts, which included Bobbing For Apples, Sailor Song, Down The Road and Up The Hill (now titled “Open”), and Time Is All Around.[1] The 2005 session can be easily found on the table below.

On the other hand, Regina recorded 5 tracks for The White Sessions again in Paris, France
