Wiggledancing! Live On Stage is a concert tour performed by famed Australian children's group The Wiggles. The North American Tour commence in favor of both the North American exclusive release of the concert video "Wiggledancing! Live In The U.S.A." and to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the group's formation in 1991. The tour would be marred by health issues from frontman Greg Page who would leave the tour halfway through the first leg after rushed to the hospital for dehydration^[1]^[2], before leaving the group entirely days after the tour ended and Sam Moran would take his place.

History

The tour commenced on July 28, 2006 at the BJCC Arena in Birmingham, Alabama with the first leg ending on August 27, 2006 at the North Charleston Coliseum in North Charleston, South Carolina^[3]. The second leg of the tour would begin on October 20, 2006 at the Bryce Jordan Center in University Park, Pennsylvania and ended on November 21, 2006 at the Bank Atlantic Center in Sunrise, Florida^[4]. Several songs that would debut in Wiggles releases following the tour would debut on the tour. Hello, We're The Wiggles and a cover of Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star from Getting Strong! and Pop Goes The Wiggles would make their live debut at the Wachovia Spectrum shows on August 19th and 20th. Bump a Deedle and Everybody Dance! from Greg's final album with the group "Racing To The Rainbow" would also debut on the tour. Much like the Wiggly Safari Show four years earlier, the show for the first leg of the tour would have heavy inflatable scenery with a balloon looking like the group's guitarist Murray Cook (that first appeared on the Santa's Rockin'! Tour), the word DANCE being spelt out in balloons and balloons above the stage with various symbols representing characters from the group (bubbles for Henry The Octopus, feather swords for Captain Feathersword, roses for Dorothy The Dinosaur and bones for Wags The Dog). The stage for the second leg of the tour would be identical to the first set only with the "DANCE" and character inflatables removed and a video wall would be displayed in the background with animations for each song on the setlist. The tour would also mark the debut of the Three Ducks skits^[5] (later known as The Three _______ in Wiggle and Learn) before the song Captain Feathersword Fell Asleep on His Pirate Ship a.k.a. Quack Quack. The tour would also mark the last time the group would perform at Madison Square Garden as they would perform at smaller venues when they play in New York and the songs Lights, Camera, Action, Wiggles and Sailing Around The World would be performed.

Availability

Quite a lot of information is known about the tour and various videos taken by audience members have surfaced online, but very little pro-shot footage from the tour had surfaced. It's unknown how many shows on the tour were recorded. In October 2020, Instagram user wigglesenthusiasts unearthed over two minutes of low-quality pro-shot footage from one of the shows Sam did. Comprising of snippets of the first song on the setlist Toot Toot, Chugga Chugga, Big Red Car and the last song on the setlist Wiggly Go-Go Medley. The footage would be uploaded to YouTube by user Blue'sClues&TheWigglesFTW. The source of where wigglesenthusiasts got the footage and the location of the footage are unknown as his account would be deleted from Instagram. A month later, Anthony Field uploaded eight seconds of pro-shot footage of Dance the Ooby Doo (With Dorothy the Dinosaur) from one of the concerts Greg did. The location of that footage is also unknown^[6]. A promo advertising the August 7th, 2007 show (from the Racing To The Rainbow tour) also includes footage from one of the concerts, the location of which is unknown. Finally on August 18, 2021, wigglesenthusiasts (now on a new account named "wigglesenthusiasts2") uploaded two seconds of pro-shot from an unknown date on the tour as part of a compilation on the backup dancer Katherine Patrick^[7]. Where he got the footage is unknown. It's unlikely that any full show from the tour would be released given the circumstances around Greg Page's health at the time.
