Zoids Genesis is an anime series that currently serves as the final entry in Takara Tomy's Zoids franchise. The 50 episode series is centred around a young boy named Ruuji and his fight to save his village after uncovering a lost Zoids mech. It ran on TV Tokyo April 2005 through March 2006.

Following up on their involvement with prior iterations, in January 2006, Viz Media officially announced that they had acquired the series' international rights.[1] In April, the company announced that Zoids Genesis would be one of the titles to exclusively debut on Toonami Jetstream, an online video portal launching that July.[2] The series was then listed as a "TBD" premiere in a press release dated August 2007.[3] As of the service's termination in January 2009, Zoids Genesis had yet to launch.

Despite that, an English dub was produced in Los Angeles, California by Salami Studios in association with Verite Entertainment.[4] Voice actors resumes indicate the dub was recorded sometime between 2006 and 2007.[5][6] The English dub premiered on Cartoon Network's Asian affiliates on October 8, 2007.[7] This version of the show allegedly was edited for content and featured replacement opening and ending musical tracks.[8]

To promote the series, Phillipino restaurant chain Jollibee included Zoids Genesis toys with its kid's meal in January 2008.[9][10][11] The restaurant would later bring the line back to promote a Tagalog-dubbed version on a local broadcaster in 2010.[12][13][14][15]

No footage from the English dub's broadcast has surfaced online, nor are any home video releases known to exist. The only recovered piece of this dub is a sales trailer from Viz Media's European website.[16][17]
