The Robonic Stooges was an animated series created by Hanna-Barbara, that aired from 1977 to 1978 as part of The Skatebirds. The show revolves around the popular slapstick comedy act, The Three Stooges (Moe Howard, Larry Fine, and Curly Howard), who are now robotic crime-fighting superheroes. The entire series can be found online via full episodes on pirate websites and clips on YouTube, but one of the 32 episodes, "Curly of the Apes", was for a long time incomplete.
Plot
The premise revolves around The Robonic Stooges trying to stop an ivory poacher named "Tricker Mortis", who steals entire elephants. At one point in the episode, Curly ends up encountering some apes, hence the title. The apes then attempt to hook Curly up with one of the ape's daughters. After Larry and Moe rescue Curly from the apes, they all then stop "Tricker Mortis" by making a fake balloon elephant, which, by mistake, also carries them up.
