This tape includes aborted sessions from the album Scream Bloody Gore (1987). The album was first recorded in Florida without vocals because the band and the label (Combat Records) were not satisfied with the result of the recording so they moved to Los Angeles, California to re-record the album.
"Legion of Doom" is the only song of the tracklist to not appear on Scream Bloody Gore and "Sacrificial Cunt" was later renamed to just "Sacrificial" to avoid the Parents Music Resource Center.
