Os Amigos Vegetais was a live-action Brazilian television program/spin-off based on the Christian CGI-animated video series VeggieTales.
In 1997, VeggieTales launched in Brazil as Os Vegetais, and the popularity of the show led to Top Tape wanting to produce a spin-off series, named Os Amigos Vegetais in partnership with Big Idea Brasil and Universal Pictures. The series aired 11 one-hour episodes on Rede Record in March 2005 every Saturday at 10:00 AM and reached third place in network ratings.
