In Season 1 of Sesame Street, Batman and Robin appeared in animated segments done by Filmation, in the same style as their 1969 animated show, The Adventures of Batman.
Batman first appeared in the original test pilot of Sesame Street (available on the DVD, Old School: Volume 2)[1] and later had three more segments in the series.
The first two segments, "Batman Crosses the Street"[2] and "Around/Up/Through"[3] are available on the DVD sets Old School: Volume 1 and 40 Years of Sunny Days respectively.[4]
The third segment, which first aired in Episode 0099, was titled "Clean and Dirty" and was intended to teach kids the difference between clean and dirty. It was 51 seconds long[5] and reportedly featured The Penguin's gang, who had dirty windows.[6][7]
The information on this segment was compiled from materials at the CTW Archives in the University of Maryland.[8][9] It is unknown if any video footage of this segment still exists.
