Saturday Superstore was a British children's TV show that aired from 2 October 1982 to 18 April 1987.[1] It was broadcast each Saturday morning. The show featured a number of guests each episode, the most notable of which being Margaret Thatcher, then Prime Minister of the UK.

The episode featuring Thatcher was broadcast on 10 January 1987, in the build-up to the 1987 general election.[2] Saturday Superstore typically ran for 195 minutes per episode.[3] In the episode, Thatcher was asked questions by children, most famously one from Alison Standfast, who asked "In the event of a nuclear war, where will you be?" The episode also featured Mike Read, Keith Chegwin, Sarah Greene, Vicky Licorish, John Craven, Nicola Davies, Gorden Kaye, Terry Nutkins, Chris Packham, and Peter Simon.[4]
