Joe Ball's World is a Spanish platform game developed by Extreme Soft in 1994. Not much information about the game is known due to a lack of credible information and resources from its time which adds to its rarity.

Availability

In total, there are several references to this game on the internet that can be found through various forum threads and posts[1][2]. Additionally, there is a gameplay video on YouTube by user Stormspirit 86 that was uploaded on January 22nd, 2010 which can be found below in the Gallery section of this article. It remained, prior to its discovery, the only video proof of its existence.

On August 26th, 2024, Lost Media Wiki user JerryUlyanov found a working file of the game on a Russian DOS gaming website, Oldgames.ru[3]. According to the information given on the Oldgames.ru page[3], they were introduced to the game by an unknown gameplay video of the game in 2008 (unknown video has not been retrieved or has been known but is likely Stormspirit 86's video which was uploaded in 2010 due to it being linked in the Oldgames.ru page, this probability however cannot be certain). After multiple contacts with the person who had uploaded the gameplay footage in 2008, the person stated that they had lost the hard drive for the game.

11 years later, at an unknown date in 2019, the same person who had been contacted for the game then provided a working file for the game to Oldgames.ru. Due to the website being relatively obscure by the public, however, its discovery would not be known until JerryUlyanov's discovery of the game on August 2024. The game has since been put on the Internet Archive by JerryUlyanov.

Full Version

According to multiple mentions below Stormspirit86's video, the game that was uploaded to the Internet Archive was not the full version but is only a "shareware" version of the game. Due to the lack of credible information, the full version can only be listed as existence unconfirmed until further information on it resurfaces.
