A consolation prize only given away during the original airing of the Lucky Pot-Bellied Pig of Amelia Earhart.

Status: Partially Found

"Legends of the Hidden Temple" is a Nickelodeon game show that lasted three seasons from September 11, 1993 until September 1, 1995. This show had six teams of two, competing against each other for the opportunity to search Olmec's Temple for the artifact mentioned in the episode. The show consisted of four levels; The Moat, The Steps of Knowledge, The Temple Games, and The Temple Run. The teams that lost the first three levels were given a consolation prize similar to other Nickelodeon game shows. The winning team would advance to the Temple and try to find the artifact mentioned in other to win prizes.

After the show ended, reruns aired on the main channel until August 30th, 1998, and later on Nick GAS. However, runs of most of the episodes had unreasonably altered the consolation prize plugs with prizes that came out way after the show's original airing. One example is the "Hunchback of Notre Dame" VHS which came out in 1996. Only 28 episodes out of 120 had their consolation prizes unaltered in reruns, while only 11 of the remaining 92 episodes are found with the original plugs. While some episodes can be recreated via Paramount + rips or GAS airings, some prize plugs are extremely rare and haven't seen the light of day. The 7 missing prize plugs are Pocky n Rocky & The Addams Family for S1, Nikko Alienator, Nikko Brat, The Flintstones, and The Jetsons games for S2, and Looney Tunes B-Ball for S3(Note: While a photo is found thanks to a Spanish dubbed episode, no audio was recorded for the prize)

Availability

Thanks to the show altering the consolation plugs, the original ones are difficult to come across after the show. However, thanks to a fanmade guide on the Legends of the Hidden Temple wiki,[1] that used the credits at the end of all the episodes where the prize plugs were given. Paramount + has released the show in its entirety, however, like with Nick Arcade, it features only the altered plugs. Other than that, the missing consolation plugs have yet to resurface. Also, like with Nick Arcade, during Season 3, most episodes had 3 sets of prize plugs(The original airing, the GAS airing, and a Fall 95 or 96 airing), see The Bullet-Riddled Handbag of Belle Boyd as an example).

On September 5th, a Studio Master Tape for the Lion Slashed Jacket of Sacagawea was found which was uploaded by Jared Oswald back on February 22nd.

On October 10, The Jeweled Scabbard of Sforza was found, uploaded by Alec Baldwin way back in 2018.

On January 27th, The Golden Pepperoni of Catherine De Medici was found by Racelympics through a trade. The reruns of The Lost Hornpipe of the Pirate Captain and The Lost Taj Mahal Turban of Aurangzeb were also found but will not be accounted for.
