Reggie Jackson's World of Sports was a children's sports series that aired on Nickelodeon between 1981 and 1985. The show consisted of 18 episodes and was hosted by Reggie Jackson, as the show was the first celebrity-endorsed television show that aired on Nickelodeon.

Premise

Reggie Jackson's World of Sports is about sporting activities and health. The episodes revolve around a specific sport, as the episode shows a specific tournament or competition related to the episode. Each episode mixed in discussions of fitness and health with the sports content.

Availability

Reggie Jackson's World of Sports ran for a short one 18-episode season between 1981-1982, with reruns running till 1985. The show was hosted by Reggie Jackson, as the show was the first celebrity-endorsed television series that aired on Nickelodeon.[1]

Out of all the episodes that were produced, only two 16-second commercials and part of the opening to an unknown episode have been preserved on the internet. Reggie Jackson's World of Sports, however, used footage from real sporting events that have been fully documented online. The show never appeared on home media, and may never see the light of day.

On March 17th, 2022, YouTube user Smoke uploaded the last two minutes of an episode of Reggie Jackson's World of Sports, featuring various Junior Olympics athletes.[2]
