The movie followed around a narrator who visited various haunted or scary places in the United States. The following have been visited: The Whaley House in San Diego, The Ghost of Mad Anthony in Pennsylvania, and Robert the Doll in Key West, Florida. The Narrator himself according to users, has a calm deep voice and talks with lots of inflection and annunciation, indicating that it could have been targeted to children or teenagers alike. This is backed up by the fact, that in contrast to many other documentaries, TV shows and Movies around this time and similar in nature, the focus was not to scare the viewer, but mainly focused on educating viewers on haunted places.

Most Haunted in America is a 2002 documentary TV film, which aired on the Travel Channel, and was directed by Ronald Lyon, and written by Jenny Paschall. The documentary itself is often times confused with other documentaries of similar names such as America's Most Haunted Places, a TV show which also aired on the Travel Channel. However, it has been confirmed that these are different, mainly due to the two having two different IMDb pages.
