Most Shocking is an American reality television show created by Bruce Nash for Court TV/TruTV. The show aired for 7 seasons and 89 episodes.
Synposis
The show features footage of shocking moments, events all over the world caught on tape or camera. The first season of the show mostly focused on police chases and encounters (like similar shows like World's Wildest Police Videos and Disorderly Conduct: Video on Patrol) because it was on Court TV, but after the first season, the show focused on more than police videos, mostly likely due to the network being renamed to TruTV on New Years Day 2008.
Broadcast
The show premiered on Court TV/TruTV on October 4th, 2006, and concluded on November 10th, 2010. Reruns continued to air on the network until the network's 2014 re-brand into a comedy network. On October 26th, 2015, the over-the-air TV network Justice Network (now True Crime Network as of July 2020) started airing reruns of the show and still does Sunday nights as of 2024[1] and is free to watch on the network's website. In July 2022, the show began airing on the cable/satellite network Reelz and airs Thursdays and Fridays as of 2024.[2] A year later in July 2023, the show started streaming for the first time on Peacock.[3]
Availability
During the show's time airing, no episodes or clips were uploaded for unknown reasons. However, during the early or mid 2010s, a couple episodes were uploaded to YouTube from TruTV airings, the 2 being "Cops Under Attacks" and "Under the Influence 2" (they have seen been deleted from site), but are available on Internet Archive and have been uploaded from airings on True Crime Network (formerly Justice Network).[4][5]
But during 2018 to 2021, YouTube channel VintageVideos (now VintageVideos 2.0 due to his original channel getting terminated the first time) staring recording the show from True Crime Network and uploading them to YouTube and Internet Archive. Another channel danostalgiafada also uploaded episodes (mostly ones VintageVideos never done). Unfortunately, VintageVideo's first channel on YouTube was terminated due to either community guidelines or copyright strikes, but did eventually returned as "VintageVideos 2.0" in February 2020. Due to this, another YouTube channel MiMi Xuka re-uploaded the Most Shocking episodes by VintageVideos during 2020. However, in mid 2022, he had to private his videos due to some of his video being "pending removal" by YouTube because of them violating community guidelines, but lucky, afterwards, his videos were unprivated and back to being public.[6] But then, a few months later in December, his channel was unexpectedly terminated again for most likely the same reason he was the first time. But he did return to YouTube with a new name: Extreme Reality TV. A year later, in December 2023, his VintageVideo 2.0 channel was reinstated is now is running both channels now.[7]
