Before the release of the superhero video game ''Marvel Ultimate Alliance'' in 2006, Activision held a contest on who would voice minor characters or cameos in the upcoming game. Among the winners of this contest was Arin "Egorpator" Hanson, who at the time was known for his Awesome series on Newgrounds which were animated parodies of video game franchises. Arin was chosen to voice Bruce Banner, the Hulk's alter ego, in the game. In the end, though, it would be voice actor Robert Atkin Downes that would ultimately have the role in the final cut.

Since Marvel Ultimate Alliance was released across multiple platforms, the voice of Bruce Banner has been a topic of debate. According to Arin's website and his voice acting profile, he did end up voicing the character but only on the Wii, Playstaion 3, and Playstation Portable. This is likely due to various constraints, with Arin living in Florida at the time and Activision having to fly him out to LA being the most plausible. However, according to the Bruce Banner page on the voice acting website Behind the Voice Actors, Arin Hanson is not on there and he doesn't have a page on said website. It could possibly be that Activision decided not to cast Arin due to the distance and to stay on schedule to release the game.

The most logical and likely reason that Arin was scrapped was that he lived in Florida, meaning that Activision would have to fly him to LA to record the lines, making it possibly cheaper to just have a professional VA like Robin voice Bruce instead. As for why Arin says he supposedly voiced Bruce on those particular ports, he may have been misinformed and never played the ports in question to confirm that he was in them. Regardless, Arin's voice clips have never surfaced anywhere and, although he may still have his original audition clips, it's unknown if they even exist anymore.
