zoom is a platform that helps people conduct meetings online with ease. all you need is the app and an account to start making a zoom server. but sometimes, hackers can slip through the cracks and disturb meetings.
On May 2020, Youtube user @benoftheweek posted a video titled hacking ZOOM classes… in which he shows himself infiltrating and disturbing zoom classes. a follow up video was made soon enough titled hacking preschool ZOOM classes posted in May 27 2020. Benoftheweek also mentioned that the he was given the passwords to the meetings and did not "hack" the meetings themselves.
Controversy
on August 27 2020, CBS channel 13 news Sacramento mentioned this in their news block "the learning curve" along with other zoom hacking incidents. benoftheweek soon made an episode on his podcast "I ALMOST DIED" stating that he will never make any videos of hacking into zoom meetings ever again. 25~ months later, he deleted his zoom "hacking" videos and soon addressed this in his podcast "dramamama"
Availability
