Jacob's ladder was a hit thriller/horror movie made in the 1990 and was known for it's disturbing imagery. In fact, test audiences found it to be too overwhelming and disturbing.
Which then was met with about 20 minutes of disturbing content removed so the responses would be more positive. Many bits and pieces of the deleted scenes were in the original trailers.
