Status: Partially Found
The Big Boss Part II, released in 1976, was a sequel to the 1971 Bruce Lee film The Big Boss. The film also starred martial arts stars Lo Lieh and Chan Wai Man. The film is often confused for another film known as Big Boss II, also released in 1976. However, that film stars Bruceploitation star Dragon Lee, and is unrelated to this film.
Release
The film was never released on any format, and it has not turned up anywhere online. However, at least one print of the film, dubbed into English, is known to exist and is owned by a Zambian cinema.[1] The previous owner of said print (from South Africa) has posted only ten minutes of the film on YouTube, refusing to release the entire film to the public.
Search Attempts
Members of the forum Kung Fu Cinema attempted to get this South African print in 2010.[2] However, the master reel was sold to the aforementioned Zambian cinema, and the film remains effectively lost. An English dubbed trailer for the film exists, and multiple posters and magazine article scans exist, but no other print of the film has been found.
