In the show's opening theme, the characters are introduced as news reporters from their home planet "Ker" who are sent down to planet Earth to learn about the human race. They set up a secret base under the Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland. The show is hosted by Kerful and Kerfuffle and they transfer news reports on the episode's topic to "Kerfian TV" on their planet. The two characters, in a humorous manner, attempt to analyze the activities performed by humans in Northern Ireland doing various acts.
