Album cover for the soundtrack

In 1996 the Swedish punk rock record label Birdnest decided to shoot a low budget Spaghetti Western movie starring some of its bands and various (at the time) famous Swedish actors (including future minister of culture Alice Bah Kuhnke, who was better known as a late night television host at the time.) The films soundtrack was to be performed by the bands that were signed to the label, and the leading role played by Lena Endre, who would later be known for her work with Ingmar Bergman and in the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo movies.

Various economic and creative differences plus increasing economic difficulties for Birdnest, caused the film to drift into distributive limbo. It is known that it was shown for the first time in an indoor football stadium in 1996 and that there were talks about showing in on public television, but that it didn't pan out. According to a 2016 article [1] the film was slated for a rerelease in 2016, but nothing more has been heard since.

The official soundtrack is still available for purchase from Birdnest homepage to this day.[1]

A short expose on the movie by Swedish television is available on YouTube. [1]
