The game Club Penguin: Elite Penguin Force for the Nintendo DS had the ability to download DLCs from the internet. They consisted of missions and newsletters. While the two missions that ever existed as been found, around 77 newsletters appear to have been lost to time.[1]
List of issues
Most newsletter were ports of the newspaper found in the online flash version of Club Penguin. They use the same artwork and near identical verbatim.[2]
The only known exception to this are the newsletters Check out the new EPF download mission! and Report for duty in the next EPF DS game "Herbert's Revenge!" as they promoted content relative to the game.

Recovering the DLCs
The DLCs were downloaded directly into save file of the game and would overwrite any previous newsletter downloaded. It is therefore likely that unarchived copies of the newsletter still exist on the cartridges of some players.
There are two way to retrieve save data:
- Extracting the save using a modified system, such as a modded Nintendo 3DS with the application JKSM.
- Using a DS flash card (i.e. a Supercard DSTWO, R4 etc), it is possible to send the DLC from a physical cartridge to a ROM running on the flashcard. The save file of the ROM would then be retrievable by putting an SD card into an adapter plugged in your PC.
