Story
In this series Anderson travels along some of the most dangerous rivers in the world to explore life and the daily struggle to survive by the rivers. These rivers have become part of the process of political turmoil. Starting from the Amazon Anderson's journey takes him into the Andes where the Amazon sourced. His altitude sickness affected him. Then in India, Anderson visited the fast-melting Satopanth Glacier that provides water for the Ganges. This glacier may be affected by Pakistan’s control of water rights. Before visiting the holy city of Varanasi, he visited the Ganges. The large number of tombs and cremations there has caused the Ganges River to be highly polluted. As of 2007, it is the fifth most polluted river in the world and poses a modern health hazard to everything that depends on this river for survival. Anderson then went to the Euphrates and Jordan Rivers. These two ancient rivers are immersed in the history of turbulent regions. He finally reached the Congo River. The Congo River has experienced many violent incidents in recent years, just like the country it crosses.
