Little Clowns of Happytown (partially lost English audio of ABC animated series; 1987-1988)

Little Clowns of Happytown is an American animated television series produced by DiC and aired on ABC from September 26th, 1987, to July 16th, 1988, for a total of 18 episodes.[1] The show is about the young clowns from Happytown, whose goal is to spread happiness and imbue positive mental attitudes around the world wherever they go. The only thing that stands in their way is Awful BeBad, the master of doom and gloom, and his two minions, Geek and Whiner.
The show was later released in VHS and DVD. The Mill Creek Entertainment NTSC DVD release TV Guide Spotlight: Totally '80s Toons, UK VHS and DVD releases have very few episodes.[2][3] Only the Joking Around with the Little Clowns shorts, several episodes dubbed in Arabic, and an intro of the show have surfaced.
After that, a few episodes and clips have been found in various languages. A VHS rip of three episodes of the Russian overdub was found on a Russian file-sharing site, TrackerOK. In 2016, a YouTube user named "Meringue in Sugartown, USA!" uploaded 4 of the original English episodes of the show on YouTube, but they have been taken down due to the account termination. In 2017, a YouTuber by the name of "TheMysteriousMrEnter" uploaded a review of the episode "I'm Just Like You", which contained footage of the episode. The full episode was said to be lost until Cerra uploaded it onto YouTube.
A large amount of the episodes were found in Korean on August 18th, 2017, by an LMW user by the name of "Awful BeBad" who purchased a Korean bootleg DVD of the show and uploaded them on Dailymotion as password protected videos, with the password being "lostmediawiki.com", minus the quotation marks. The same user later uploaded a few English episodes and Russian episodes and plans to try and recover more of the series in the future.[4]
Finally, on July 30th, 2021, the last 3 remaining episodes were found to be uploaded by YouTuber Eddy Kyte.
On May 14th, 2022, the episodes "To Be or Not To Be...Me" and "Nobody's Useless" were found in English uploaded as part of an ABC Saturday Morning Block.
On July 4th, 2022, the "I'm Just Like You" episode has been completely found in English and uploaded by Cerra upon sudden realization that the episode may have been lost, albeit unlisted. He stated that the video file had been laying around on his computer for a long period of time.
On February 29, 2024, the episodes "Big Heart, Sweetheart" and "To Mr. Pickleherring with Love" were found in English, though with the beginning and end cut off.
