Marsupilami (partially lost "Sebastian the Crab" segments from anthology series; 1992)
The title card for "Marsupilami", where the Sebastian the Crab segments would air.
Status: Partially Lost
In 1992, Disney adapted Andre Franquin's popular Franco-Belgian comic book series Marsupilami to the United States as part of the anthology series Raw Toonage on CBS.[1] It would receive its own half-hour spin-off series on the same network the following year, known simply as Marsupilami.[2][3] The half-hour series featured three segments per episode: the first would be an all-new short starring Marsupilami, and the third and final was a repeat from Raw Toonage. In the middle was two alternating segments: five episodes would feature Bill Kopp's Shnookums and Meat, while the remaining eight starred Sebastian, the Samuel E. Wright-voiced crab from Disney's animated feature The Little Mermaid.[4][5] Over the years, many formerly lost Raw Toonage and Marsupilami segments have surfaced online. However, some of the Sebastian the Crab segments still remain lost, and the series itself is partially found.
