Stingray لثاني (unidentified FNAF 2 Virus)

Stingray لثاني was apparently a virus existing from 2014-2015 on the alternate Android app store named "Aptoid"^[1]^[2] which contains free apps and games for users to download instead of buying them from the Google Play Store. The Arabic text after Stingray has been debated on what it actually says in English as translating Arabic is hard due to it being a completely different language then English. Some claim it either means "Is watching"^[1] or the most accurate "The Second" in reference on the game being the second Five Nights at Freddy's game. The game apparently features Freddy half colored and half black and white with one eye having a laser inside his eye socket. It's likely that the game was developed by someone from the Middle East or from Pakistan.

Stingray لثاني has a rumored payload of stealing the devices info and resetting it to factory settings,^[4]^[1] it is said that after you complete the game an apparent Withered Chicha jumpscare appears which was later disproven rather being a frame from the later FNAF game, Ultimate Custom Night^[4]. Some speculate that the game would ask for multiple permissions including your photos and contacts and would apparently steal your data while playing^[1]^[4]. It's unknown if the app would even launch which claims that it could've just been a fake app made to steal data and the crazy creepypasta-esque additions to the virus. The question also arises on why a developer would add in a whole jumpscare at the end of the game if it's a virus. The logo is also most likely fake rather it's most likely fan made.

Rumor Origins

The exact origins of Stingray لثاني is unclear. Many say it's a mostly Spanish mystery. The earliest English mention I found was from August of 2021 which seemed to be of a recreation of the game^[2], It's unclear where the first mention of the game was as it seemed this was the first mention of it. It could very well be that the APK site made this entire thing up for more attention to their site but it seemed too fleshed out for it to be made up on the spot.

Legitimacy

Many people have offed this piece of media as a hoax due to the lack of evidence but there is a few good points to be made proving the existence of the game. For one the game was released on Aptoid which was notorious for having viruses before the revamped security system. Another point is that many developers from non-English speaking countries would create fangames or even viruses for newly released Android games. No other proof of this virus exists before 2021 discrediting it heavily. Take the entire 2021 dating I imposed with a grain of salt as Google is notorious for messing up dating for websites seen on this apparent Stingray FNAF 2 from 2014 which in reality is probably from 2023.
