Wild Kat (lost Australian live action TV series; 2001)
Wild Kat is an Australian live-action TV series that aired from February to April of 2001 on Network Ten in Australia, and from June to August of 2001 on WAM! (now known as Starz Encore) in America, as well as Disney Channel Australia in 2002. The show ran for 13 episodes and has since become lost. [1]
The show was about a 15-year-old girl named Katrina aka. Kat, and her 11-year-old brother named Jamie, who live with their veterinarian mother at the Perth Zoo. Katrina meets a Siberian tiger named Garang until she realizes that she shares traits with the tiger and has tiger-like abilities. [2]
The show was created by David Ogilvy and Paul Barron of Barron Entertainment and was filmed in Perth, Australia. It had a 30-minute running time for each episode. Nothing is known of the series except for some descriptions of episodes in the show. Interestingly, the show’s IMDb ratings were mostly from South Africa, which could mean the show might've aired there. [3]
