Caper in the Castro was believed to be the first ever LGBTQ computer game ever to be published, being released on 1989. It was released for the Macintosh Plus on Hypercard and could only be downloaded on underground LGBT Bulletin Board System Networks. It was later released as Murder on Main Street and was published by Heizer Software with LGBTQ all content being removed to appeal to a wider audience.[1] No screenshots or code was ever shown for both games.

Discovery

On December 20, 2017 both games were found and released onto Internet Archive finally making both games available to the public.
