Charlie Brown's All-Stars is a baseball video game most likely based on the animated special of the same name, which is based on the Peanuts franchise. The game was being developed by FarSight Studios and was to be published by Namco Bandai Games for the PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable but ended up getting canceled before it was released.
Plot
After losing yet another baseball game, Charlie Brown meets his friend Linus, who introduces him to Mr. Hennessey, who owns a hardware store and is willing to help Charlie Brown and his team finally win a game.
Features
The game would have featured over 70 playable Peanuts characters (initially 30 were announced). It would have also had four party games: contests of batting, fielding, and pitching, along with a Simon Says-type game called "Lucy Says".
Availability
An advertisement for Charlie Brown's All-Stars (pictured above) was printed on the back of the instruction manual for the PS2 version of Snoopy vs. The Red Baron. The ad promised a release in 2007. Unfortunately, due to FarSight getting involved with too many projects and not having enough staff to work on Charlie Brown's All-Stars, the game was canceled.[1]
No build of the game has surfaced since its cancelation. A render of Charlie Brown's character model from the game has been released online.
