Hometown Girl released in 1948 is the first film to star exploitation actor Timothy Farrell of Ed Wood fame. It was directed by Merle McConnell and starred Pat Carrell who would later become a well known voice actor. The film is typical of the George Weiss exploitation films of the era. According to reports the film was about an unplanned pregnancy that ruins the reputation of young girl in a small town. Farrell reportedly played the role of Dr. Wright, a role he would late take on again for the partially surviving, Test Tube Babies a year later. Little is known about the film except for a few stars, its director and production company. The survival status of the film is unknown and is not available in any known format.
