The records are still available on Japanese bidding sites, even one being available on YouTube. Unfortunately only this their last track, and the only reason it may be on youtube is that it was recorded to be the theme to Showa Ao Kousaku Akira Akira Ichiban!. Scans of all four of their record releases are available online, being scanned by Twitter user Ravenworks. The video itself, still remains a mystery.

Pink Crows was a cartoon band, produced as a side project of the artist NOBODY. They released three singles in 1985, and later ended that same year. The story behind the fictional band is that they are “a pop group of aliens who came to the earth from far away stars called pop gear.” Their 3rd single "Suddenly Want You!" was also adopted as the theme song for the anime series "Shōwa Ahozōshi Akanuke Ichiban!."

The Music Video

According to the Japanese Wikipedia article for the band, animation company Sunrise was involved in the animation production, and an article about them in My Anime magazine's April 1985 issue shows many images that are believed to be taken from a promotional video of the band.

Currently, information on the Pink Crows as a whole seems to be unavailable online without knowing/being able to translate from Japanese, thus leaving most info about the show a mystery. After asking both subreddits r/anime and r/translator, we have a loose translation of the magazine article.

"The magazine says it's a promotional video for the Pink Crows. It says something about their debut concert. Also, apparently they're aliens, which I guess explains the whole talking bird thing they've got going on ("An alien band's invasion!? The Pink Crows' shocking debut!")."

Meaning that this video does (or did) in fact exist, but what station it aired on, what day, and a large sum of information is still missing. But after searching through the tweet history of user STAR_ZANS both the manager of the band and the director of the film has been discovered. The manager of Pink Crows was Mr. Terumi Yoshida, and the director of the film was Mr. Takeji Yamana.

The Music

The records are still available on Japanese bidding sites, even one being available on YouTube. Unfortunately only this their last track, and the only reason it may be on youtube is that it was recorded to be the theme to Showa Ao Kousaku Akira Akira Ichiban!. Scans of all four of their record releases are available online, being scanned by Twitter user Ravenworks. The video itself, still remains a mystery.
