The Pueblo Amate De Maria (also known as Bayan Suminsita Kay Maria) PSAs was commissioned by the Philippine branch of the Family Rosary Crusade in 2002. The commercial was made for the celebration of the Year of the Rosary 2002-03 and the Philippines' official hosting of the 4th World Meeting of Families in January 2003.
The commercial became iconic to Filipinos who watched it in the 2000s. It is aired before the show and aired alongside ABC-5's Station ID. The commercial was later became part of FRC's hour-long programs.
Premise
It consists of a white background with the words "Pueblo Amate De Maria (Bayan Suminsita Kay Maria)" set to the opening bars of "Awit Sa Ina Ng Santo Rosaryo"[1], then the children reciting the Hail Mary in different languages, set to the images of churches in the Philippines. the last part ends with the soprano sang over the graphic saying the slogan "The Family That Prays Together, Stays Together" and "A Word at Prayer is a World at Peace" in the language featured, then the 2001 Family Rosary Crusade logo appears on the bottom (or occasionally on the top).
Availability
The commercial was said to be aired in November 2002, in place of the Please Pray The Rosary commercial, which is also served as the standard identification on ABC 5. It would expand to other channels such as ABS-CBN on Saturdays (until August 30, 2003), RPN 9, NBN 4 and Studio 23 (September to November 2003). It is lasted until November 2003 when the PPTR commercial was resumed until ABC 5 dropped it in March 2004.
