Vintage Television (VTV) (officially known as vintage Enterprises, Inc. and mostly known as Vintage Sports) was a Philippine media company and was best known as the TV coverage partner of Philippine Basketball Association from 1982 to 1999. It was founded by the brothers Carlos "Bobong" Vélez and Ricky Vélez in 1978. It was acquired by entertainment conglomerate Viva Entertainment in 1999 following the effects of the 1997 Asian financial crisis.

From 1998 to 1999 during IBC 13's era of the network's programming block, the block launched promo campaigns related to the block's "The Night is Alive" slogan.

Background

Every promo of Vintage Television concludes with the VTV logo with the V appearing in yellow and the other V appearing in blue, the text then displays "Vintage Television" with the slogan "The Night is Alive!".

Variants

"Music Video"

Status: Partially Found
The ID begins with the sound of a clock with the clock on the table ticking to 5 o'clock, then the clock spins around when the alarm sounds and the yellow and blue on the clock turns into the two "V"s (also serves as the logo of VTV) which bounces thru the window when the song is played (following the tune of Janet Jackson's Together Again), along with the dancing TVs showing clips including the 1997 Gordon's Gin Boars championship presentation from the 1997 PBA Commissioner's Cup Finals, certain animes and tokusatsu series.

"Night Watching"

Status: Found
The ID starts with a car driving on the road in an evening on their way home, then the telephone rings and a man opens the door on which he holds a telephone while they are calling on the phone. While he calls on the phone, a sound of the TV is heard while a girl saying the words:

If you don't make a day,

And have your night.

And the night is alive...

Then the man says the words "VTV Na!", ending the station ID.

Availability

The station ID is said to air during programming breaks of anime shows aired on the block from 1998 to 1999. In April of 2024, UndustFixation uploaded the clip of the "Music Video" promo, albeit incomplete[1]. The "Night Watching" however was found by JACOBSHLTR on October 22nd, 2023.[2]
