Tom and Jerry is a series of shorts produced by MGM that involves a cat and mouse getting into various antics with each other. The shorts became very popular and started airing on TV in the mid-60s and still air to this day. Around the mid-50s, some of the original titles were replaced with newly designed ones for reissued prints,[1] the original prints were destroyed in the 1967 MGM fire and as a result most common prints and versions of the episodes that air and/or are available on home video/streaming uses these reissued titles. Despite this, there have been prints of the original titles found, though most of these are in black and white.
