Hachaverim Shel Barney (Hebrew: החברים של ברני, lit: Barney's Friends) is an Israeli co-production of the popular American children's television series Barney & Friends. The show premiered on November 2, 1997, on Israel's Channel 2 and became an immediate success. It was later rebroadcast on Arutz Hayeladim (ערוץ הילדים, The Children's Channel) in 1998, and subsequently reran on Channel 33 and Hop!. The series has been released on VHS and DVD. In 2015, the original Barney & Friends was dubbed into Hebrew and aired on JimJam, featuring a different voice cast than the Israeli co-production.
