This intro featured clips from various episodes from the first season in the credits. Rebroadcasts after 1992 or so had this intro plaster with the "Bluebird and Butterfly" intro with the "Population 5,006 Give or Take" billboard ending that was used from season 2 onward.

Shining Time Station was a children's series created by Britt Allcroft and Rick Siggelkow. It premiered in 1989 and ended in 1993. Its season one opening was different from season two and three's, the biggest difference being that the original season one intro shows clips of the cast's characters in oval shapes as opposed to simply showing their names like the later seasons'. Rebroadcasts of season one episodes would use the newer intro, meaning that footage of the original intro was quite scarce. But on June 21st 2010, Youtuber EightyMac uploaded the intro, making it available for viewing to the public. The intro can be found below.
