Created and originally screened in 1998 as a part of Nickelodeon's ''Short Films by Short People'' series (which, as the name implies, showcased short films created primarily by children) was ''Attack of the Giant Vulture''; the 2 minute short was aired quite frequently from 1998 up until the early 2000s, after which time it fell into obscurity.

The short sees a group of kids being chased around Chinatown, New York by a giant vulture (played by another child, albeit in a vulture suit), who continually attempts to eat them. The protagonists then reverse the situation by defeathering, capturing and, ultimately, cooking the vulture, triumphantly holding up their knives and forks as the short ends. Despite it's intended comical nature, many people report being particularly frightened by the short during their childhood.
