After the series went off the air, it was released as home media on VHS. It was then re-aired on local network Tochigi TV in 2004, and in the 2010s on Animax and Disney XD, as well as on two other local networks. Despite these frequent reruns, the program was not adapted for DVD or VOD, and VHS was also out of print, making it difficult to obtain and not readily available to many people.

Mighty Cat Masked Niyander, original title Nyaniga Nyandā: Niyander Kamen (ニャニがニャンだー ニャンダーかめん), was an anime series that produced by Sunrise and Nagoya Broadcasting Network and aired on TV Asahi and its affiliate networks from February 26, 2000 to September 30, 2001. This is based on the children's book series by Takashi Yanase, who also created Anpanman. The number of episodes is 83.
