Un Juego de Huevos was a 2D platformer game developed by Fabrication Games, a Swedish studio, exclusively as a downloadable for the short-lived now discontinued Zeebo system. This game is an adaptation of Una Película de Huevos, a popular animated film from the Mexican studio Huevocartoon.[1]
The game features all the main characters from the first movie, including Toto, Willy, Confi, Serp, Cuache and Tlacua, voiced by the same actors who did the voices for the aforementioned characters in the movie.
Gameplay
The story for the video game is also based on the film but follows a different and slight changed plotline. Un Juego de Huevos is the first videogame adapted from a Mexican franchise.[1] In the game, you play as either Toto or Willy and explore series of challenges with increasing difficulty as you progress more in the game.[2] The game features 5 boss battles and 10 unlockable levels of competition. The game also has the feature of having one or two players play in either multiplayer cooperative or competitive modes.[3][4]
Availability
The game was initially released exclusively in Mexico on April 19th, 2010 and would be released in Brazil, with a Portuguese-language version called Um Jogo de Ovos in August of 2010.[5][6]
The game was packaged including the Zeebo system, a peripheral keyboard, and a Huevocartoon DVD, offering a comprehensive bundle for fans of the franchise to enjoy and indluge. In Mexico, this package was launched with the promotional price of 1999 pesos ($109.47 U.S. Dollars) accompanied by a campaign in department stores to generate sales and commodities.[4][7]
Due to the Zeebo Online Service shutting down in 2011, there is no way to download or play the game. Currently, the only available footage of the game is a few gameplay clips and several commercials.
