I began trading tapes in October of 2017. I hope to interact with the community here more often and contribute to the wiki to the best of my abilities. I have mainly spent my time editing on many wikis, with some of them granting me staff positions. | ||
Set-up for digitalizing VHS tapes: SVHS JVC MV-45 deck with Diamond VC500 and sometimes a Pinnacle 510 USB. There are also times when I transfer the contents to a DVD-R, but not frequently. I use Virtualdub2 with the HuffYUV codec, and only compress my recordings when I need to upload to archive.org, as I do not want to stress the archive.org servers. Otherwise, my raw VHS tapes are stored on my external hard drive. |
