Un Juego de Huevos is a 2D platformer game developed by Fabrication Games, a Swedish studio, exclusively as a downloadable for the short lived now discontinued Zeebo system. This game is an adaptation of Una Película de Huevos, a popular animated film from the Mexican studio Huevocartoon.[1]
The game features all the main characters from the first movie, including Toto, Willy, Confi, Serp, Cuache and Tlacua, voiced by the same actors used in the movie.
Gameplay
The story is also based on the film, but follows an altered plotline. Un Juego de Huevos is the first videogame based on a Mexican license.[1] The goal of the game is to explore and battle through a series of challenges with an increasingly difficultly.[2] The game features 25 levels, 5 battles with bosses and 10 unlockable levels of competition. It supports an optional one or two players in cooperative or competitive modes.[3][4]
Availability
The game was initially released exclusively in Mexico on April 19, 2010, and later in Brazil, with a Portuguese-language version called Um Jogo de Ovos in August of that same year.[5][6]
The game was packaged with the Zeebo system, a keyboard, and a Huevocartoon DVD, offering a comprehensive bundle for fans of the franchise. In Mexico, this package was launched at a promotional price of 1999 pesos, accompanied by a targeted marketing campaign in select department stores to generate buzz and drive sales.[4][7]
Due to the Zeebo Online Service shutting down in 2011, there is no way to download or play the game. Currently, the only avalable footage of the game is a few gameplay clips and several commercials.
