THERE IS NO MS-DOS PORT OF CONTRA, THERE NEVER WAS A PLAN OF WHICH AND THERE (maybe) WILL NEVER BE, THIS IS FICTIONAL!
Contra is a popular game made by Konami for Nintendo Entertainment System and Arcade in 1987, but Konami originally made an MS-DOS port of the game which was lost over time, but due to it's obscurity, we do not know if it existed.
Hypothetical existence
MS-DOS is more than just capable of running 8-bit games, so Contra could have been made for DOS, furthermore, Konami stated that they made Contra more stable and smooth to run on MS-DOS with controls better than on the NES.
